A random poem

The world is dark
The world is bright
I see both sides
And know their might

I feel their gaze
Fixed on my back
Those unnerving eyes
Stop me in my tracks

I turn to face them
As the eyes take form
Of three figures
One short two tall

"Why are you alone?"
The short one asks
"I prefer it that way"
I say behind my mask

"C'mon mate
We know that's not true"
The middle one says
Sensing I'm blue

"Maybe so."
I reply
"But there's nothing
I can do."

"Of course there is."
The tallest one says
"You could come with us
We are your friends."

The three figures step forward
And come into view
My three best friends
Rachel, Oli and Huw

I walk towards them
A song in my heart
As I know I will be safe
With my friends after dark

I am the combination
Of light and dark
I am the chaos
That's in your heart
